Board Attendees: Judy Scott, Bob Harris, Kaye Massie, Jenny Rice, Susan Odette

The business meeting was called to order at 6:37PM by Judy Scott, with a quorum of the Board present.

Secretary Joe Morris was out of town. Judy submitted January 27th Minutes. Bob Harris moved to accept, Jenny Rice seconded. Approved unanimously.

Treasurer's report -- Kaye Massie

A $100.00 donation was received for the MasonWebTV video of the January speaker (CEO Jim Rothlin of Port of Bremerton). Thank you Dan Orchard! Current balance $894.33.

Jenny Rice moved to accept the Treasurer's report, Bob Harris seconded. Approved unanimously.

Public Information Officer

Judy introduced our new Public Information Officer, Susan Odette. Susan has worked in our community for many years. She received the Chairman's Choice Award of the North Mason Chamber of Commerce for her work in organizing the Christmas Parade! She began the parade 7 years ago! Her degree is in communication and marketing! We welcomed her and she gave each of the board members her biography. We look forward to having her on our board and excited to have her help and expertise!

May meeting day was brought up as it falls on Memorial Day. It was tabled until next month.

Business meeting adjourned at 7:01PM.

Judy introduced our new Public Information officer (Susan Odette) to the members (audience) .

Herb Gerhart brought new Tahuya Forest Trail maps to be available to the audience.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Jim Rothlin (Port of Bremerton).

Speaker CEO Jim Rothlin of the Port of Bremerton brought a power point presentation of the Port of Bremerton. The presentation was of all of the assets (facilities) of the Port and new projects in the future to be realized. He listed all the tenants and the amount of employees that the Port represents. Some new projects and (potential and on board) were a motorsports club and track, new restaurant, new commercial buildings to be leased and new hangers. It was mentioned that an Amazon [building contractor] purchased land from the Port to build a distribution center. It was an excellent presentation and many questions were answered. Joyful Note Studio owner Sylvia Keller and Heather Reese (piano teacher) shared about their new studio for learning (piano, guitar, painting, etc.) located at 430 Old Belfair Highway.
