Approval of meeting minutes dated 5/21/2012 and special meeting minutes dated 6/18/2012, distributed to the membership via email. No changes were received.
Linnie moved to approve the May 21 and June 18 minutes, as distributed via email. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
Treasurer's Report - Jack Kimball
All bills are paid and there is $1,756.87 in the bank account. Linnie submitted a reimbursement of $115.77 for expenses for the May spaghetti feed.
Margie moved to approve the reimbursement to Linnie. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.

INFORMATIONAL MEETING
Election of two board members
Nominations were taken for two board positions vacated by Jim Clark and Bonnie Pope.
Danielle Skeeters-Lindsey was nominated by Linnie Griffin.
Bob Harris was nominated by Linnie Griffin.
A motion was made to accept by acclamation Danielle Skeeters-Lindsey and Bob Harris. The motion was seconded and approved by the membership in attendance.
OLD BUSINESS
Wrap-up of June 25 forum. Everyone was pleased with the outcome, although most said more questions should have been asked from the audience
Followup on PA system. Still looking. It was suggested to look at WalMart, Radio Shack and Best Buy. Also, an audience member said he would investigate too.
NEW BUSINESS
Discussion of conducting another candidates' forum, partnering with the North Mason Chamber and MasonWebTV. Considering a debate style (ask a question, all the candidates answer, then all candidates allowed rebuttal time). Two separate debate events, one for the 35th District candidates, tentatively Thursday, September 27 and the Mason County commissioner candidates, tentatively Thursday, October 4. Questions would be solicited in advance via Web, email, blogs, social media, newspaper articles and ads as well as during both events.
MOTION: Linnie moved the North Mason Community Voice partner with the North Mason Chamber and MasonWebTV on two candidates debate events, one for the 35th District and one for the Mason County commissioners, to take place before general election ballots are mailed. The motion was seconded and approved unanimously.

September 1 and 2: Highland Festival at Theler Center. Will also use the playground across the street at the Belfair Elementary School for some of their highland games.
September 21: Jail and Bail in front of Belfair Safeway. All donations go to Fred Hutchinson Research.
