This was NMCV’s barbeque and potluck dinner, held outside in the parking lot. There were about 45 people present. Everyone appeared to have a great time visiting with their friends and neighbors. Thank you to all who brought fabulous food for everyone to sample.

A short business meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM

Secretary's Report - Linnie Griffin

• The minutes of the July 26 meeting were summarized. Ken moved to approve the minutes. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.

Treasurer's Report - Jack Kimball

• All bills are paid and there is $1627.04 in the bank account. Five new members were added from the last meeting, with three of them also renewing for 2011.

Public Information Officer (PIO) Report - Ken VanBuskirk

• There is a new Blue Star banner at JRs Hideaway. The Blue Star Banner Program installs street banners to remember our local men and women who are currently serving in the military service. See www.kitsapbluestar.org for more information. There probably will be more banners going up around Belfair.

Lee Swoboda said NMCV needs to file an annual report with the Secretary of State and the cost is $10. Greg Waggett moved to authorize payment (Lee volunteered to complete the paperwork and mail it to the Secretary of State). The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.

The post office box bill is due, at a cost of $56. Ken moved to authorize payment. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
